Brian Laurence Sound specializes in the Production of Surround Sound for public venues, film and television. Multichannel surround sound creates a total sound environment to suit any situation, from outdoor Soundscapes for venues such as Theme Parks and Zoos, to critically focussed sound fields for specialized Exhibitions and Displays for Museums, Visitor Centre, Aquariums and Expo.

Brian Laurence Sound follows each project, from initial planning, through production, to equipment specification, supply and installation, ensuring the final result is exactly as intended.

Our expertise in the control and manipulation of sound within an audience space allows exciting new uses for sound. Multichannel phase-coherent surround sound reproduces all the directionality and realism of actual locations and situations, and adds a level of involvement not achievable with conventional stereo soundtracks.

Specially-developed multichannel recording equipment allows us to capture all the directionality and ambience of almost any situation, indoors or out, from the quiet of a summer evening in the bush to the wild extremes of a raging storm, from the flip of a blackjack card to the roar of the crowd at a footy grand final, all with the realism of actually being there.

We have recorded sound all round Australia and travelled to Hong Kong, Taiwan and Africa for Soundscape clients. Our video and documentary work includes a DVD about vintage ‘warbird' aircraft, recorded and mixed in digital surround sound.

The latest computer technology has enabled us to create multichannel mixes of previously impossible complexity and intensity, adding an increased level of aural excitement to each project.
